This position serves to lead the planning and execution of a wide variety of corporate and client-facing events. The Events Manager will work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure events align with business goals, maintain brand integrity, and offer a seamless, impactful experience for attendees. This includes full event lifecycle management from concept to post-event evaluation, with a strong emphasis on logistics, communication, and budget oversight.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan, coordinate, and execute events including conferences, trade shows, social gatherings, product launches, and internal functions.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to establish event goals, timelines, budgets, and expectations.
· Source and negotiate with venues and vendors for services such as catering, AV, entertainment, and décor.
· Oversee all on-site logistics, including setup, registration, real-time issue resolution, and teardown.
· Partner with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and ensure brand consistency in event communications.
· Track budgets, manage expenses, and maintain financial oversight to keep events on budget.
· Evaluate event success through metrics, attendee feedback, and post-event reporting.
· Research industry trends, attend relevant events, and scout opportunities for new event initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication with a client-centric mindset.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent, Asana).
· Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on event schedule.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning or coordination.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Entry to intermediate level using Microsoft Office Products.
Word for Windows:
· Use the menus and quick menus; Create a document; Save, preview, and print a document; Set margins, tabs, and indents; Select, replace, insert, and delete text; Move and copy text; Create and edit headers and footers.
Excel:
· Create a new file; create formulas. Choose formats to display dollar signs, commas, and rounded corners. Add a header and footer to the worksheet; Copy and move cells; Open and close an existing file; Save and print a worksheet; Use absolute cell referencing in a formula; Enter and edit data in cells; Change the appearance of data.
Outlook:
· Send messages to an individual, several individuals, or an address list; Specify the priority of a message and request notification of receipt of the message; Read messages and reply or forward them to another individual; Edit and spell check message text; Attach files to a message; Create a personal group and use it to send messages; Create folders and store messages in folders. Utilize the calendar feature to maintain appointments and schedule meetings with other personnel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
High customer relations skills are required. Must be able to develop customer relationships by listening to and understanding the customer. Also requires the ability to anticipate and provide solutions to customer needs; ability to give high priority to customer satisfaction and deal tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion. Ability to get positive results in adverse situations; ability to maintain customer confidence and trust. Ability to be flexible in making oneself available to respond to changing customer needs to prevent unnecessary delays in service.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
